Job Title Boiler House Technician
Location Aldershot
Start date ASAP - End of Feb
This role is on a contract basis to start ASAP. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be reponsible for the operation and maintenance of the steam boiler plant to allow the heating and hot water system to function.
The key reponsiblities include
· Monitoring and recording consumption readings.
· Operating changes and adjustments on plant and equipment.
· Monitoring and topping up of chemical plant for the provision of softened water
· Carry out statutory control testing on boiler plant and recording the findings.
· Recording operational information
· Reacting to alarm conditions related to the plant and equipment
· Reporting of malfunctions of plant and equipment
· Minor maintenance work
· Logging and taking action on out of hours call outs from the Aspire Help Desk
· Issuing and returning keys to plant rooms
· Logging of maintenance staff entering and leaving the building
· Carrying our weekly fire alarm testing and logging information
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with large steam boiler plants and a mechanical background.
The working pattern is on a 12 hr shift basis of the following
12 hours shifts 0600 to 1800 day shift 1800 to 0600 night shift
Four on four off pattern
Plus additional cover required for holidays and sickness absence
